Our Ambassadors are passionate about inspiring others to help our Starrs.
Momma Cherri, Celebrity Chef, says:
"I have known the Starr family for over 15 years and we had an immediate connection over food, family values and our desire to do more within our local community.
When I was invited by Rob to become an Ambassador in their 15th Birthday year I broke into tears. I have for many years offered my services to the Trust via fundraising events and auctioning cooking experiences with myself.
As an Ambassador I shall physically, emotionally and spiritually do all I can do to help make a difference as I know personally how it feels to come from a broken home. I have a passion to help raise money for the charity and can’t wait to continue to spread the Starr magic!"
Matt Smith, CEO of Webtrends Optimize, says:
“When Rob asked me to become an Ambassador for The Starr Trust I was incredibly honoured and humbled. Ever since I first met Rob and Tracey and heard the amazing things that they do to support young people in Sussex in achieving their goals, it immediately struck a chord with me.
Since then I have tried in my own small way to support them in as many of their endeavours as possible, and as an Ambassador I look forward to continuing this support and helping the team in their mission in removing roadblocks for young people to achieve success.”
Sam Thomas, Director of Different Hats says:
"To be asked by someone I consider not only a mentor but also a close friend to become an ambassador for the Starr Trust was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. It’s a true privilege and honour to support such an incredible charity and help them continue their amazing work.
As a podcast host I have the opportunity to speak to many inspirational people, but every so often you meet someone who has a profound impact on you personally and professionally. Rob Starr has been one of those people for me. From first hearing his story many years ago, shortly after he started the Starr Trust, to later having the honour of welcoming him as a podcast guest, I’ve watched in awe as the charity has grown, inspiring and changing the lives of so many young adults."
Stephanie is a PR & Marketing Consultant, a local TV presenter for Latest TV and a standing invitee on the Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee for Brighton and Hove City Council. She says:
"Working with the Starr Trust team to explore and lead on initiatives that help raise funds to support young people reach for the stars is a real honour. I look forward to continuing to support the charity as an Ambassador!"
Paige, Managing Partner, Warren House Chartered Accountants, says:
“Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to put back into the lives of younger people and I am lucky enough to do this with the team I work with on a regular basis and now, being an Ambassador for the Starr Trust, I am excited to help youngsters be the best they can be.”
Simon, Head of Events at TGB, says:
"Hearing heart-warming stories of the young children the Starr Trust supports is what inspired me to be part of this incredible family of support for these young lives. I am both humbled and honoured to be asked by the Starr Trust to be an Ambassador, I really hope I can help make dreams come true for the children of this wonderful charity."
"I am delighted and honoured to announce my appointment today as an Ambassador to the Starr Trust Charity."
"The Starr Trust supports young people across Sussex in achieving their goals and dreams in the arts, sport and education.
It has been a privilege to get to know the team and see the real difference they make. I look forward to working alongside all of the Starr Trust team and their Patron Robin Cousins in 2019.”
"I have always admired the work that the Starr Trust do to help young people achieve their dreams."
"The team are always so committed and the difference they make to those young people's lives is incredible. I have supported the charity since the very first bike ride and I have never looked back. Helping this awesome cause through cycling has been incredible and so much fun.
It is therefore the greatest honour to be asked to be an Ambassador for this inspiring organisation, which has become like a second family to me. I will be looking forward to leading more bike rides and making a difference to young people's lives for a long time to come."
"I am incredibly honoured to be asked to become an ambassador for the Starr Trust."
"The Trust has touched the lives of my family in such an enormously beneficial and supportive way, helping to positively change the direction of my daughter’s life.
As a family we owe the Trust a huge debt of gratitude and we have endeavoured to help the Trust in any way possible – becoming an ambassador will allow me to further support the trust to help other young people and continue their amazing work.”
"It is an honour and privilege to be announced as an Ambassador to the Starr Trust Charity."
"It’s exciting to be involved with such a committed charity that removes roadblocks and further supports young people to achieve their dreams... I look forward to seeing what the future brings to everyone the Starr Trust supports and to working with the team to help wherever I can."
Your support will help us to remove roadblocks that a young person may be facing and give them the opportunity to completely change the trajectory of their life.
