Brighton Palace Pier Announces Starr Trust as Chosen Charity Partner

The Starr Trust are excited to announce a brand new partnership with the Palace Pier this year. Their support will commence through their Palm Court Restaurant kindly sponsoring a VIP Brunch which will be hosted in March and will officially launch the Trust’s Winter Extravaganza Ball. The VIP event will be attended by new and long term supporters as well as Starr Trust Ambassadors including; Media Vet & Animal Rights Campaigner Marc Abraham OBE, Partner and Head of Media & Entertainment at Healys LLP, Nicholas Taylor, and Actor and Big Brother Winner Jason Burrill.

Anne Ackford, CEO of Brighton Palace Pier, said:

“Brighton Palace Pier is delighted to support The Starr Trust, a charity that has the local community at its heart. We have long admired the work the Trust does and are very pleased to now be a part of it.”

Later in the year, the Pier will be holding a summer jobs recruitment initiative which is taking place on 16th June. Young Starrs supported by the charity will be invited to attend and apply for jobs along with any other interested young people. It will also be a great opportunity for people to find out more about the Starr Trust and how to apply for funding.

Rob Starr, Founder & Chairman of the Starr Trust said:

“It’s really exciting to team up with Brighton Palace Pier - it’s a much loved city attraction and the partnership will certainly raise awareness and help us to support more young people who need us at pivotal stages in their lives. I swim around the Pier every morning at 6am, so it will be a pleasant contrast to enjoy some events on it as well as spending time splashing around it!”

Banners will soon be installed to raise the profile of the Starr Trust to visitors of the Pier and it is hoped that the new partnership will encourage more people to show their support through various upcoming fundraising events.
