Mark Archer conquers the 200k Mustang Trail Race in the Himalayas
Retired fireman and Starr Trust cycling event team leader Mark Archer has completed his biggest challenge to date: the Mustang Trail Race, an 8-stage, high-altitude trail race through the trans-Himalayan region of Nepal. Covering 200km with over 10,000 metres of climbing in a gruelling 27 hours and 13 minutes, Mark finished an outstanding 7th out of 34 participants. Having previously taken part in bike ride challenges organised by the Starr Trust, Mark felt this extraordinary Himalayan adventure deserved its own fundraising effort and has so far raised over £800, with fundraising still ongoing.
