On Thursday 24th April, a group of likeminded business supporters came together for breakfast at Soho Beach House Brighton. Business owners and Ambassadors of the Starr Trust were served with light refreshments and enjoyed a morning of networking and connecting with their peers overlooking the beach.
Guests were invited to share ideas and collaborate to come up with new fundraising ideas. Rob Starr MBE, founder of the Starr Trust addressed the room and spoke about how life-changing the support is to the young people the charity supports. Rob highlighted the amazing achievement of Mike Gibbs of EMC who raised an incredible amount of over £2000 in his recent Vienna Marathon and Evergreen Waste Recycling who generously donate a percentage of their profits each quarter.
Tracey Starr, Partnerships Liaison said:
“Thanks to all who came out early to join us for our first ‘new look’ VIP Business Breakfast. We understand it is a difficult time to ask businesses to support, so we are not hosting our annual events this year or asking for sponsorship to put on events. Instead, we are asking for businesses to get creative in ways they can support. We are delighted that Matt Smith of Webtrends Optimize and Guy Barwell of The Implant Centre will be organising a bike ride in September. We are truly grateful for each and every business and individual who continues to help us change the lives of young people who desperately need our help.”
Special thanks to:
Seico Group who pay all running costs for the Starr Trust in order that all funds raised go directly towards young people who need support.
Print Lord for printing the name badges
Ian Trevett for the photography
