The Starr Trust awarded Justin funding for living costs while studying Law.

Justin says:

"My journey to receiving this award has not always been straightforward. Throughout my studies, I have faced significant personal challenges, including the loss of close family members, experiences of bullying, and navigating university life as someone with autism and ADHD. Despite these obstacles, I remained determined to achieve my goals and never gave up on my ambition of building a career in law.

This award represents the resilience, perseverance, and hard work that have shaped my journey. I am incredibly proud to have completed my Law with Criminology degree and to now be almost finished with my Master's in Law (LLM). Reaching this stage is something I once only dreamed of, and it demonstrates what can be achieved through determination and commitment.

I hope my story inspires others to believe in themselves and to keep moving forward, even when faced with difficult circumstances. Challenges may shape us, but they do not define our potential or limit what we can achieve.

Receiving this award is incredibly meaningful to me because it recognises not only my academic achievements but also the personal challenges I have overcome along the way. There were times when the obstacles I faced felt overwhelming, but I remained committed to my goals and never gave up on my dream of pursuing a career in law.

This award gives me confidence that hard work, resilience, and determination are worthwhile. As someone who has completed a Law with Criminology degree and is now close to finishing a Master's in Law, this recognition motivates me to continue striving for excellence and to use my experiences to inspire and support others facing their own challenges. I am deeply grateful and proud to receive this honour."
