Veronika

Veronika's family were forced to flee their home in Ukraine during the war, and she has faced the challenge of trying to build a new life in the UK. Veronika has a passion for dance, something that would help her to feel connected again, but her family was unable to afford the costs. The Starr Trust awarded Veronika the funding to attend dance classes at Project Female.

Veronika says: "My journey to the Award began after I was forced to leave Ukraine. It was tough, but my love for dance and the incredible support from the Starr Trust helped me keep going, pursue my dream, and ultimately achieve this award. I am incredibly happy and grateful for this recognition of my journey. This award is a huge inspiration for me to keep dancing despite any hardships; it opens new doors and reminds me that hard work and passion always find their reward."
